"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
- Matthew 7:7-8
"KORIND" is the name acquired by a programme between the churches in Korea and the rural churches in India. This programme is rooted through the CSI Synod and different dioceses to the local congregations of remote rural areas. Predominantly the Korind programme is to assist the rural communities in building their own multipurpose community buildings. Most of the places the local communities use these buildings as their places of worship as well. There is an informal fellowship of people, churches and organizations in Korea who became the members of Korind. Occasionally they meet together to receive the applications from the bishops for these kind of community buildings/churches and process their assistance through the CSI Synod. KORIND is a word coined from the words Korea and India. Rev.Dr.Lee Il HO and Rev.Dr.BD.Prasada Rao were the people who initiated this KORIND fellowship in 2007. KORIND has taken a contemporary shape of mission strategy based on the principle of "learning though sharing".
Korind is like a shared gospel rather a contagious decease, infecting the love of God, to join in this mission for largely the poorest of the poor in remote rural communities of Indian churches, with multi-faceted ministries by involving likeminded church people from Korea.
The KORIND is to be absorbed into the Missio-Dei with its scope for expansion, dynamics of organization, financial discipline, creativity of community leaders, sustainable means of assistance, clarity of criteria, well set priorities, and above all inclusive nature of involvement
